Writing can be strengthened at any stage of the process, from an early idea struggling to take shape
to a polished manuscript preparing for publication. I offer editorial feedback, manuscript consultation, and coaching for writers working in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, as well as personalized guidance for high school students developing college application essays.
My approach is attentive, collaborative, and rooted in craft. Whether we're discussing a single poem, a short story, a book-length manuscript, or a college essay, my goal is to help writers better understand what their work is trying to become and how to move it closer to that vision.
Creative Writing Consultation
For writers seeking feedback on shorter works, I provide close editorial commentary, with written feedback in the form of line edits and terminal notes, as well as Zoom consultations focused on strengths, opportunities for revision, and next steps.
This is ideal for individual short stories, creative nonfiction essays, small clusters of poems, as well as application materials for residencies, fellowships, and MFA programs.
Manuscript Development
For book-length projects, I work with writers developing novels, story collections, poetry manuscripts, and creative nonfiction projects.
Services include: developmental manuscript assessment, revision guidance and planning, structural and organizational feedback, line-level editing, as well as publishing and submission consultation.

College Application Essay Guidance
I work with high school students throughout the college admissions process, helping them develop authentic, compelling personal essays that reflect their experiences, values, and aspirations.
Support for college applicants includes: brainstorming and topic development, draft review and revision, structural guidance, final editing, and proofreading.
My goal is not to write essays for students, but to help them discover and communicate the story only they can tell.
